Southern A’Chord announces “Find Your Voice: Empowering Women Through Song”

Southern A’Chord is presenting “Find Your Voice: Empowering Women Through Song,” A free one-day vocal workshop scheduled on Saturday March 7 from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Nationally acclaimed vocal coach Robin Curtis will conduct the workshop, providing participants with a diverse range of vocal techniques and advice.

Breathing techniques, vocal projections, and vowel modification will be covered throughout the day. Additionally, there will be opportunities for both individual-focused singing and group singing. You do not need to be an exceptional singer to participate in the workshop;

Assistant Director Lynette Murphy expresses that the workshop aims to “Help you have a better voice and empower yourself.”

The workshop will be held at the fellowship hall of the Presbyterian Church of Ruston, located at 212 N. Bonner St. Southern A’Chord suggests that you pre-register by February 28th, but walk-ins are welcome. Lunch and snacks will be provided throughout the workshop.

Southern A’Chord is a Ruston-based acapella barbershop with a feminine touch. The sisterhood is full of women of all ages and vocal ranges. Although they’re a barbershop, they welcome all styles of singing. For more information, visit www.southernachordchorus.org or kedm.org.
