Food Bank to host Disaster Relief Food Distribution for Ouachita Parish

The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana will conduct a Disaster Relief food distribution for Ouachita Parish residents impacted by the recent winter storm. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Monroe Civic Center, located at 401 Lea Joyner in Monroe.

This drive-thru distribution will provide food on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Volunteers will load food boxes directly into vehicles, and recipients are encouraged to clear space in their trunks beforehand.

“Winter Storm Fern has severely affected our community, particularly those with limited resources,” said Jean Toth, Executive Director of the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana. “We’re grateful for the support that allows us to assist our neighbors during this challenging time.”

Additional food distributions are planned across Northeast Louisiana to aid those impacted by the storm. Residents outside Ouachita Parish can visit foodbanknela.org/find-food or call 318-322-3567 to locate assistance in their area.

The Food Bank remains committed to helping residents recover and restock their pantries in the wake of this disaster.
