MONROE, La. – BOOM Youth Fraternity in Monroe is scheduled to host its first national step show - Battle on the Bayou - Mardi Gras Edition inside the auditorium at Neville High School on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026.
Teams from south Louisiana, Illinois, Virginia, Georgia, Texas, and Florida will compete during the step show, consisting of about 500 students – with 600 additional supporters traveling with them to Ouachita Parish.
Fans will be able to enjoy local Host BJ Bell and Sounds by DJ Twins for the afternoon entertainment.
Doors open at 2 p.m. and the show starts at 3 p.m.

The national step show is expected to draw in an estimated economic impact of $89,597 for Ouachita Parish.
