ULM to remain closed through Friday Jan. 30

The University of Louisiana Monroe will remain closed through Friday, January 30, due to the continuing effects of the winter storm. University officials will continue to monitor the situation and will announce details regarding re-opening at a later date.

The ULM Activity Center will remain open 24 hours a day during the closure to provide warm shelter, restrooms, charging capabilities, and food for affected students on campus.

For Tuesday, January 27, Schulze Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Students are asked to bring their student ID to Schulze.

Future meal accommodations will be communicated in a follow up message.

The City of Monroe has issued a boil advisory for all water usage until further notice.

Icy road conditions continue to make travel dangerous. ULM students, faculty, and staff are strongly encouraged to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary and to exercise extreme caution if travel is unavoidable.

All other campus offices and dining locations will remain closed.

ULM will issue statements on the ULM Safe app (download at App Store and Google Play), campus-wide email, ulm.edu, ULM Facebook. Stay informed at 90.3 KEDM, Facebook/National Weather Service Shreveport, and X @NWSShreveport.
