(Monroe, LA) - Monroe Mayor Friday Ellis has declared a State of Emergency as winter weather is expected to impact the City Friday, January 23 through Sunday,

January 25. The National Weather Service has issued cold weather advisories and extreme cold warnings, along with a Winter Storm Watch for much of Louisiana. The City of Monroe is taking proactive measures to keep residents safe, including preparing essential services and coordinating emergency response teams.
