Monroe, La. – The City of Monroe and the Monroe Civic Center are excited to announce a new partnership with The Arena League (TAL) that will bring four professional arena football games to Monroe during the league’s 2026 season. Led by Commissioner and Pro Football Hall of Famer Tim Brown, TAL’s arrival adds another dynamic sports and entertainment option for residents and visitors across northeast Louisiana.
The Arena League’s inaugural season is set to kick off in June 2026, with Monroe selected as a host city for four matchups at the Monroe Civic Center. These high-energy games will deliver fast-paced action and an electrifying fan experience, further enhancing the Civic Center’s growing lineup of events.
“This partnership represents an exciting step forward for the Monroe Civic Center and our community,” said Mayor Friday Ellis. “We are thrilled to welcome new opportunities that enhance quality of life, expand entertainment options and bring people together. Arena football is a great addition, and we invite everyone to come out, support the athletes and help make Monroe feel like home.”
The addition of arena football underscores the City’s continued commitment to attracting diverse events that drive community engagement and regional tourism. Fans can look forward to a full calendar of entertainment at the Civic Center throughout the year, with arena football adding a new level of excitement to the venue.
