BASTROP, LA — Louisiana Delta Community College (LDCC) marked a major milestone with a $300,000 donation from the Cox family toward its new Bastrop Campus. The contribution, made in memory of the late Drs. Cox—dedicated physicians who served Morehouse Parish—will support the development of a campus focused on advancing medical and technical education in Northeast Louisiana.

During a check presentation at LDCC's Bastrop Simulation Center, Stephen Cox highlighted the family’s commitment to the community, calling the project “an accessible gateway to careers in medicine.” LDCC Chancellor Dr. Justin Hoggard praised the gift as a pivotal moment for Morehouse Parish, emphasizing that the new campus would expand educational access, enhance workforce development, and spur regional growth for years to come.

The Bastrop Campus will feature cutting-edge training for careers in healthcare, trades, and technical fields, addressing critical workforce needs.
