City of West Monroe to host Wreaths Across America ceremony on Friday, Dec. 12

West Monroe, La. – The City of West Monroe will host a Wreaths Across America ceremony at Hasley Cemetery on Friday, December 12, at 10 a.m.

The event will take place at the gazebo located on the cemetery grounds at 1500 Arkansas Road in West Monroe. Hasley Cemetery is an official Wreaths Across America site and is the final resting place for more than 800 veterans.

Community members are encouraged to sponsor a live wreath to be placed on the headstone of a fallen service member. Each wreath costs $17, and sponsorships can be made through Friday, November 28.

This annual ceremony honors the mission to “Remember, Honor, Teach,” ensuring that the sacrifice of America’s veterans is never forgotten. The public is invited to attend the event and take part in placing wreaths on the graves of local heroes.
