(Ouachita Parish) - On September 13, 2025, at approximately 7:00 a.m., deputies with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office began investigating a homicide that occurred on Prairie Road in Monroe.
The victim has been identified as 27-year-old John C. “Malachi” Parks of West Monroe.
As part of the investigation, OPSO is actively searching for 22-year-old Rogan James “R.J.” Wright. A warrant for Second Degree Murder has been obtained for Wright in connection with the murder of Parks.
This investigation remains active and ongoing.
