Beginning Wednesday September 17, the intersection of Oak Street and South 11th Street will be permanently closed. The intersection is located close to the railroad tracks behind the Monroe Civic Center facing the distant side of the Public Works Department building.
In a statement, the City of Monroe reminds motorists to drive with caution and that it is illegal to drive around barricades.
