Northeast Louisiana Music Trail will be hosting its 26th marker celebrating local musician Robert Finley. The unveiling event will be held in Bernice, Louisiana on September 20, 2025 at 2 p.m. at 424 Fourth St at the Bernice Depot Museum.

Founder Doyle Jeter talks about upcoming marker. Finley joins in call to speak about taking the opportunity for his rise to fame. A blues player originally from Winnsboro and one of Enoch's favorite.

From performing locally to headlining festivals across Ireland, France and more. Becoming a world wide sensation, Jeter says "he's the real deal," after a shocking the judges from being a competitor on America's Got Talent. "A lot of people didn't get their reward until they were gone," coming from humble beginnings, Finley exudes gratefulness for being appreciated and able to witness it.

Owning a construction company and playing at church, it wasn't until he started losing his vision that he made time to invest into his music. "If you don't put it out there, nobody knows what you got" and being in the right place at the right time is how he seized his opportunity to becoming a bigger artist. Now he's in a position to do so, he wishes to expose other people's talent. Special performance by Robert "Slim" Finley and special guest. Either rain or shine and free to the public.
