(Ouachita Parish) – Sunday, September 7, 2025, at approximately 3:36 am, Deputies of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Highway 165 and Highway 15 in reference to a hit and run accident.

19-year-old, Precious Williams, was traveling northbound on Highway 165 when OPSO Deputies saw her vehicle leave the roadway and enter the ditch between Highway 165 and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. The suspect then made a U-turn and began traveling southbound towards responding Deputies on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. The suspect then accelerated towards a marked OPSO unit, where the Deputy discharged his service weapon at the suspect vehicle driver in an attempt to avoid serious bodily injury or death. The suspect continued to accelerate, ramming the front of her vehicle into the unit, striking the OPSO Deputy as he tried to exit. After pushing it a considerable distance, the suspect vehicle came to a stop.

Deputies secured Williams and she was transported for medical evaluation and did not suffer gunshot wounds.

During the interview with Williams, she admitted to OPSO Investigators to being under the influence of alcohol and PCP. Williams also stated that she intentionally rammed the unit believing that it would cause Deputies to use deadly force.

Williams was arrested and booked at OCC for the following charges:
-One-count of Attempted First Degree Murder
-One-count of Aggravated Damage to Property

This is an ongoing investigation with pending toxicology reports.
