Children's Museum hosts Louisiana Jonesie and budding archaeologists

Louisiana Jonesie will be at The NELA Children’s Museum on September 13th at 2PM. Louisiana Jonesie AKA Cathy Airhart Webb of CA Studios will take children to ancient days and powerful people with the history of 3400-year-old Poverty Point. Attendees will discover fascinating facts and fun interactive games about how the monumental earthworks were built and how archaeologists used science to uncover that history.

This hands-on 45 minute public performance is included in your regular admission fee. Presented by the Northeast Louisiana Children's Museum, funding for this grant is administered by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities and the State of Louisiana.

The Children’s Museum is located at 323 Walnut Street in Monroe. Admission is $7 per person for ages 2 and up. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 9AM to 4PM, Saturdays from 10AM to 5PM and Sundays from 1PM to 5PM. more information is available @nelcm.org or call 318–361–9611.
