OPSO makes more arrests in relation to the Labor Day incident

(Ouachita Parish) -  September 4, 2025, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office made two more arrests today in relation to the Labor Day incident. So far, eight people have been arrested in relation to gunfire at Double K Estates, Colonial, and Magnolia Drive, that led to a shooting on Hwy. 139 and Bayou Oaks. The one individual struck remains in critical condition.

Today, the OPSO arrested and charged:

  • 18-year-old Landon Hughes:
    -Five-Counts Attempted Second-Degree Murder
    -One-Count Assault by Drive by Shooting
  • 18-year-old Corey Moses, Jr:
    -Five-Counts Attempted Second-Degree Murder
    -One-Count Assault by Drive by Shooting
