25th trail marker honors Lincoln Parish venues and musicians

The Northeast Louisiana Music Trail is set to unveil its 25th marker, celebrating the rich musical heritage of Lincoln Parish. This milestone event honors the musicians and iconic music venues that have contributed to the vibrant cultural tapestry of the region. The marker will be placed in downtown Ruston on Friday, July 18 at the corner of Park Street and N. Vienna St.

The marker ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. and includes special music by D.K. Harrell and Monty Russell & Friends at the Sundown Tavern.

The Northeast Louisiana Music Trail project is aimed at preserving and promoting the area's musical legacy, highlights the stories and achievements of influential artists and venues that have shaped Northeast Louisiana’s identity. From jazz legends to soulful blues performers, Lincoln Parish has long been a hub for creative expression and musical innovation.
