Louisiana Peach Festival to celebrate 75th Anniversary this Saturday

RUSTON, LA  [June 3, 2025] – 2025 marks the 75th anniversary for the Louisiana Peach Festival, one of the longest-running agricultural festivals in the state. This year’s even will take place on June 7 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. Attendees can celebrate the Diamond Jubilee with free admission, a wide range of entertainment and activities, and plenty of peachy events to enjoy leading up to the festival.

To celebrate the milestone anniversary, there will be several new additions to the event this year. Throughout the day, festival attendees are encouraged to take part in interactive art experiences, including the “Dreaming Trees” that will be located on the east end of Sexton Parking Lot, as well as fabric weaving located on East Park Avenue. Other art displays can be found throughout festival grounds on June 7.

The highly anticipated Peach Festival Drone Show is another new addition this year, taking place at 8:45 p.m. on June 7. The show will feature 100 drones that will put on a peach-themed light show in the night sky that will be best viewed from Railroad Park in Downtown Ruston.

“We are excited to bring this new feature to the evening schedule to help us celebrate 75 years of Louisiana Peach Festival tradition,” said Tori Davis, Director of Marketing & Communications for Experience Ruston. “The response to the drone show has been extremely positive so far and we hope it will make this year’s milestone event even more memorable for our attendees.”

Another anniversary activity that patrons can experience is “Peach Fest Through the Decades,” a free historical exhibit at Lincoln Parish Museum honoring the rich legacy of the beloved festival. The exhibit will be open to the public June 2-30, Monday through Friday, and showcases artifacts and memories from past festivals.

  • 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Kids Alley: An Art Experience - Kids of all ages can enjoy hands-on art activities and crafts at the Sexton Lot, along with interactive performances and demonstrations on the Kids Alley stage.
  • 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.: Peach Curated Market - Discover art, handmade items, and homemade goods from local artists, artisans, and makers. Located in the Historic Fire Station lot.
  • 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.: Live Performances on the Railroad Park Stage including Russ-Town Band, Elise Clare Causey, Zebb Rogers, Haley Brooke, LA Jay & the Zydeco Backwood Boyz, The Lovers, Chancie Neal, Hidden Tracks, Mr. Taylormade & the Taylormade Band, and the 2025 headliner - The Band of Heathens.

Other peach events will also be taking place throughout the community leading up to the festival. These events include Peach Hunt, Peach Culinary Crawl, Peach Art Exhibit, Peachy Sidewalk Sales, Peach Cookery Contest, Peach Parade, Run for the Peaches 5k, Peach Pickleball Tournament, Ruston Antique Classic Car Show, Ruston Farmers Market, Peach Baby Photo Contest, Queen Dixie Gem Peach and Princess Peach Pageant, and the Peach Rodeo. Official 2025 Peach Festival merchandise will be available for purchase at the Ruston Visitors Center through Friday, June 6, as well as at the merchandise tent at the festival on June 7. This year’s merchandise offerings include onesies, youth and adult t-shirts, bucket hats, tote bags, posters, and stickers.
