(Monroe, LA) - Mayor Friday Ellis announces that City of Monroe facilities will be closed on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day. The City will reopen on Tuesday, May 27.
Trash pickup normally scheduled for Monday, May 26, has been moved to Wednesday, May 28.
The Monroe Transit System will also halt bus services Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day. Regular bus services will resume Tuesday, May 27.
Monroe City Courts will be closed on Monday, May 26, resuming scheduled business hours on Tuesday, May 27.
Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo will remain open to the public on Monday, May 26.
