Dangerous flash flooding and severe weather tomorrow

Serious flash flooding is expected tomorrow, with 2 to over 4 inches of rain falling on already saturated soils, leading to street flooding in urban regions.

Intense thunderstorms will develop, especially in east Texas and northwest Louisiana, where the most severe hazards will occur. The life-threatening effects of these weather hazards will be outweighed by the risk of flash flooding. Any severe storms that emerge will pose threats of damaging winds and large hail. A particular worry is that saturated root systems make trees more vulnerable to strong winds.
