Twin City Holiday Kickoff on Tuesday, November 5 in downtown West Monroe

WEST MONROE – The public and members of the media are invited to attend the Twin City’s Holiday Kickoff Media Event on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to learn about holiday activities being planned around Monroe and West Monroe for the 2024 holiday season.

This year’s kickoff will take place on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5 at 10:30 am in Alley Park.

Details for the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ouachita Christmas Parade, fireworks, shopping, live music, wagon rides and more will be announced.

A kid-friendly election will take place on-site in Alley Park on November 5 as part of the kickoff event. Children will be able to vote for their favorite elf name using red and green M&M candies. The winning elf will appear in the 53rd annual Kiwanis Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 7. The two elf names up for a vote are “Jingles” and “Jolly.” Jingles and Jolly will be on-site to campaign and meet children.

The Blue Taco and Sweet Vibes Snowballs food trucks will be on-site. Attendees are invited to purchase lunch and eat in Alley Park after the press conference has ended.
