Newly remodeled Monroe Walmart Supercenter re-opens following store transformation

Walmart is set to host the grand reopening of the Walmart Supercenter at 2701 Louisville Ave, on Friday, Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. The remodeled store will be showcased with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community celebration, during which $13,000 in grants will be awarded to local organizations.

The event includes a ribbon-cutting followed by samplings from suppliers like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and more, and a visit from Kellogg's Tony the Tiger. The $13,000 in grants will be distributed to:

- The Salvation Army of NELA: $5,000
- Grace Place Ministries: $2,000
- My Motivation Inc.: $2,000
- Pilots for Patients: $1,500
- Delhi Fire Department: $1,500
- Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana Inc.: $1,000

Stacy Martin (Store Manager), Mayor Friday Ellis, and others from the Monroe community will attend. The event offers a ribbon-cutting and grant presentations, promising to be a memorable day for both Walmart and Monroe.
