Children's Museum kicks off 2024 summer activities

The Children’s Museum will officially welcome the start of Summer on Wednesday, June 20th. The day will be filled with activities, crafts, special guests and includes Mayor Ellis officially kicking off Summer and handing out popsicles at 11am!

Summer hours are Tuesday to Friday 9am to 4pm, Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sundays 1pm to 5pm. Admission is $6 per person for everyone ages 1 and up.

Summer Kick Off schedule:
- 11am Mayor Friday Ellis will officially announce Summer has begun at The Children’s Museum and give out FREE popsicles to all visitors in attendance

- 11am-12pm Our friends from Acadian Ambulance will bring a real ambulance for visitors to look inside and you can meet an EMT too

- 11am-2pm Folks from LSU Ag will be here with fun activities for our visitors

- 11am-2pm Our friends from The Biedenharn Museum and Gardens will
be here with Coke floats and information on their Summer fun

- 2pm-3pm The Ouachita Parish Public Library will be here for storytime
and information about the Summer Reading Program. Visitors can sign up for a library card too.

- All day long: Summer crafts, games, bubbles, and chalk art.
