Hall of Fame musician Doug Duffey receives newest marker on the Northeast Louisiana Music Trail

The newest marker on the Northeast Louisiana Music Trail will honor Doug Duffey. Duffey started his musical training wanting to be a classical pianist, but the rock and funk music scene came calling. His career has taken him to from the U.S. to Europe. Duffey even played in Russia during the cold war years.

Duffey has played in numerous groups, had a successful solo career, and written songs for numerous including George Clinton, P-Funk, Rare Earth, Keith Richards, Marcia Ball and numerous others. Doug is a member of the Louisiana Hall of Fame, Northeast Louisiana Music Awards Hall of Fame, and Nation Blues Hall of Fame. He recorded with Capitol Records, EMI, Warner Bros., and Motown.
