Local group to recycle Mardi Gras beads for military members

Ouachita Green Keep Monroe Beautiful and Keep West Monroe Beautiful are partnering with the Blue Star Mothers, NELA Chapter 6 to reuse Mardi Gras beads. Collected beads will be sent to men and women in uniform for Mardi Gras 2025.

Drop off beads at West Monroe City Hall & Alley Park until Friday, February 16. In Monroe, beads can be dropped off at Monroe City Hall and all Rec Centers until February 10.
