Ouachita Parish residents can clean up with help from the Ouachita Parish Public Library. Ouachita Green and the library are making litter pickup supplies available at all branches of the Ouachita Parish Public Library.
Sheila Kay Downhour, Director of Ouachita Green, says the branches will let groups and individuals check out safety vests, gloves, trash bags, and litter grabbers.
Ouachita Green is the organization over Keep Ouachita Parish Beautiful, Keep Monroe Beautiful, and Keep West Monroe Beautiful. The group concentrates on litter abatement, education, beautification, and recycling.
