Ouachita Parish and City of Monroe drop out of partnership to form new economic alliance

The North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP) has announced that it will no longer serve the City of Monroe and Ouachita Parish areas after almost 13 years. NLEP has two locations in Monroe and Shreveport, covering 14 parishes. Following the movement of the Monroe Metropolitan Statistical Area, NLEP now covers 11 parishes.

The Northeast Louisiana Economic Alliance (NELEA) will cover the Monroe MSA within the next few months. The NLEP office in Monroe will continue its operations until the beginning of 2024, according to NLEP’s president and CEO.
