Biedenharn Museum & Gardens of Monroe presents 'Scarecrows in the Garden'

The 4th annual NELA Scarecrow competition returns to Biedenharn Museum and Gardens October 25-29. Area non-profits will be creating Halloween displays that will be judged and there will be games in the garden.

Opening night for the event will be Tuesday, October 25, 3:00-8:00p and prizes will be given. Admission is $5 per person and visitors will get a ticket to vote for their favorite displays. Trophies and plaques will be awarded to winners this year and the will be awarded starting at 7:45. This year will also feature guest judges Ashley Doughty, Sheila Kay Downhour, Vitus Shell and Santa Clause. The ceremonies will be hosted by Sheila Snow.

The gardens will be open to view the scarecrows at no charge the rest of the week, Wednesday, October 26, - Saturday, October 29, from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. For more information on the event please call Biedenharn Museum Director Ralph Calhoun at 318-387-5281.
