Reception for Slaughter’s ‘Things Are Heavy’ Thursday at Masur

Joey Slaughter, associate professor in Louisiana Tech’s School of Design, has a show currently featured at Masur Museum,1400 South Grand Street in Monroe.

A public reception for the show, “Things Are Heavy,” will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 22. The public is invited to attend.

Slaughter, who has taught and created at Tech since 2007, won the first of his many awards in high school. A creator of abstractions from conversation, he has exhibited widely through the country in both solo and group exhibitions.

“Things Are Heavy” show opened in late August and runs through November 5.
