City of Monroe Volunteer and Donation Request

(Monroe, LA) On Saturday, August 28, 2021, the City of Monroe welcomed about 500 evacuees to the Monroe Civic Center to take shelter ahead of Hurricane Ida. At this time, we are working with the United Way to request and accept donations.Donations can be dropped off to the United Way office located at 1201 Hudson Lane, Monroe, LA 71201.

We are requesting the following: Adult Diapers Diapers Baby Wipes Trash Bags Coffee Pillows Blankets Cups Donations are being accepted today until 5:00 PM and Monday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

The United Way is also accepting monetary donations beginning Monday, August 30. Donations to the Embrace Louisiana Fund may be given by:• Texting EMBRACELA to 91999 •

Giving online at unitedwaynela.org/embracela  or  mailing a check or money order to United Way of Northeast Louisiana at 1201 Hudson Lane, Monroe, LA 71201. Please indicate a donation to the UWNELA Embrace Louisiana Fund in the memo of your check or money order.
