90.3 KEDM Public Radio will offer Mardi Gras programming on Saturday, February 13. KEDM's Mardi Gras Music Day will offer Carnival favorites from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. The event will be hosted by KEDM's Cory Crowe and Jay Curtis.

The broadcast runs concurrent to the Twin Cities Krewe de Riviere event. The krewe's traditional Mardi Gras parade was cancelled because of COVID-19. Parade in the Park will place floats throughout Kiroli Park in West Monroe. The theme this year is Peace, Love and Mardi Gras.  Follow this link for more information: https://www.kedm.org/community-calendar/event/652982#stream/0

The event features the Tribe Called Gumbolia from New Orleans and their beautiful hand made suits and music. The 318 Swampers will be there dancing and so will the Louisiana Luna Chicks.

The event broadcast is made possible by Service Master Action Cleaning.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
