The Downtown West Monroe Revitalization Group will host the annual Christmas on the River Fireworks show on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.
The fireworks will be shot from the Endom Bridge over the Ouachita River.
In preparation for the fireworks show, the following street closures will take place in West Monroe at 5
p.m. on Dec. 5:
- Endom Bridge (closed to pedestrians and vehicles)
- Coleman and South 1st Street
- Railroad tracks on N. Riverfront
Fireworks can be viewed from downtown West Monroe. A downtown family viewing area will be available in the Vanguard Realty grass lot on the corner of Commerce and Wood Streets. The levee near Lazarre Park will also be available for public viewing.
It is strongly recommended those in attendance wear face masks and practice social distancing.
Attendees are asked to enjoy the fireworks show with members of their household and to avoid large gatherings.
The fireworks will be livestreamed on the Downtown West Monroe Revitalization Group and the West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce Facebook pages.
