Ouachita Live Brings Celtic Music to Downtown West Monroe

The Downtown West Monroe Revitalization Group features Irish and Scottish music with Emerald Accent, Friday, June 28 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

This month’s Ouachita Live be held next to Miss Kay’s Sweets and Eats in downtown West Monroe. Miss Kay’s will be open for business, and there will also be beer and wine for sale at the event. 

The Downtown West Monroe Revitalization Group hosts the free live music event, Ouachita Live, on the last Friday of the month, every month through October. More information about the concert is at https://nelaarts.org/event/ouachita-live-4/

Founded in the spring of 2010 for the enhancement of the Celtic cultures through music in South Mississippi, Emerald Accent has since spread its influence throughout other southern states. Emerald Accent has been on the Mississippi Artist Roster since 2013 and has been the official performing band for the Jackson Irish dancers since 2015. With backgrounds in Irish, Bluegrass, Blues and Classical, the band brings freshness to the genre while priding itself in the Irish and Scottish traditional styles.
