The City of West Monroe has released development guidelines for the potential development of Highland Park, a 55-acre property located in the heart of West Monroe.

Highland Park, owned by the City of West Monroe, was formerly used as the Trenton Street Golf Course.

The City of West Monroe has released development guidelines for the possible development of both the east and west ends of the property. The middle 30 acres of the property will be retained for the preservation of wetlands, stormwater detention and public recreation.

“We believe the proper development of this property has the potential to significantly enhance the quality of life for West Monroe residents and area shoppers,” said West Monroe Mayor Staci Mitchell.

Developers interested in submitting a proposal for the property should do so by July 15. Copies of the guidelines can be obtained from the West Monroe Mayor’s Office. For more information, please contact the West Monroe Mayor’s Office at (318) 396-2600 or by email at mayorsoffice@westmonroe.la.gov.
