The Hot Club of San Francisco heats up the holidays with Cool Yule December 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Howard Auditorium at Louisiana Tech University. The gypsy jazz group performs some well-known and rare holiday tunes in their unique style, reminiscent of Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club of France.
The ensemble borrows instruments from the original Quintette du Hot Club De France such as the violin, bass, and guitars while also breathing new life into the music with innovative arrangements of classic tunes and original compositions, according to Nicholas Norris of the LA Tech Concert Association.
