Monroe Symphony Orchestra is performing a concert Saturday, October 20 at 7 p.m. at Neville High School. The concert features music from Leonard Bernstein in celebration of the centennial anniversary of his birth, as well as pieces from Dvořák and Saint-Saëns.

"Expressions of Joy" kicks off the 2018 MSO concert season with a medley of hits from West Side Story, one of Bernstein's most well-known compositions. "One of his major contributions is bringing the importance of music to people's lives," says Maestro Clay Couturiaux. According to Couturiaux, Bernstein's passion for music was most evident when he was on the podium.
