Sportsman's Auction in Sportsman's Paradise

ULM Wesley Foundation
2017 marks the 6th annual Sportsman's Auction to benefit the Wesley Foundation.

Thursday September 14th, the University of Louisiana Monroe's Wesley Foundation is holding its annual Sportsman's Auction. This fundraiser will take place at Lea Joyner Church in Monroe from 6 to 9 p.m. and will be filled with items for all outdoorsmen.

The Sportsman's Auction includes a jambalaya meal, a dessert auction, a silent auction, and a live auction for the big ticket items. Some things the auction will include are a new Browning XP3 with a 6.5 Creedmoor, an 870 shotgun, archery packets, and outdoor equipment such as a chainsaw, a leaf blower, and a cajun broiler. There will also be at least two duck hunting trips up for bid. Along with those items, guest will have the option to bid on season tickets to ULM with a tailgate package or four Saints tickets to the Lions versus Saints game.

Tickets to the auction are twenty dollars and all the proceeds go towards the ULM Wesley Foundation. The Wesley Foundation is an on campus ministry that not only aims to give students a home away from home on campus, but also to grow their faith in Christ, and their hearts for service to the school and community. The Wesley serves the campus year round through providing meals for PREP Staff during summer recruitment, holding fish frys and barbecues for students, and providing water for incoming freshmen during orientation.
