Crosley Celebrates 100 Years

Sunday, February 26th, Crosley Elementary School is inviting all alumni to celebrate its 100th anniversary. This event will start at 2 p.m. in the Crosley Auditorium.

Throughout the last century, Crosley has taught countless students in the Ouachita area, including well known community members such as Ike Hamilton and Frank Hoffman. As farmland became housing communities, the need for public schools became apparent. The parish raised the money, and the school was build on land donated by heirs of the Crosley family. Crosley Elementary has lasted through fires and has evolved over the years to better serve the community.

This event celebrating the school's milestone will include a program in the auditorium, preformed by pre-k and kindergarten students. There will also be memorabilia shared and refreshments provided.

For more information on Crosley's 100th Anniversary contact Cheryl Hales at 376-0248 or Faith Gremillion at 680-2113.
