Super Heroes and Santa Team Up for Christmas Cheer

West Monroe-Monroe Chamber
There is an entry fee of $50 to enter your float in the parade.

The Kiwanis Club of West Monroe with the support of Origin Bank is hosting this year's Christmas Parade. The parade will start at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 3rd at the First West Church parking lot and continue across town to end in downtown Monroe's Rivermarket.

Ryan Rigsby, president of the Kiwanis Club of West Monroe, shares that his favorite part of the Kiwanis club is that "everything we do is for the betterment of the community for children". That ideal is something the Christmas parade tries to reflect.

This year's parade will be themed A Super Hero Christmas. This will span from Girl Scouts to Marvel's characters such as Ironman. The floats will be throwing the usual candy along with footballs, stress balls, and color changing cups. One of the floats will have Santa giving away stuffed animals.

More information on the Kiwanis Club of West Monroe can be found here.
