Heart Walk Celebrates Louisiana's Elderly

There will be over 25 vendors, door prizes, and music at the Heart Walk.

The Ouachita Council on Aging together with C.A.B.L.E.( Community's Acting to Benefit Louisiana's Elderly)  is putting on the sixth annual Theresa Marsala Memorial Heart Walk. This event is at the Ouachita Council on Aging on Friday October 14th from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M.

C.A.B.L.E. was started through the governor's office, and helps spread more awareness about the needs of the elderly in the community.

Nursing homes, churches and vendors come together to make this event a success. There will be free Chickfila breakfast, and the Glenwood bus will be out doing angio-screening.

Theresa Marsala was an active member of the community, and a board member of C.A.B.L.E. She had two bachelor degrees from ULM. This event commemorates her life and values all she did for the Ouachita Council of Aging.
