Origins Flute Quartet
Origins Flute Quartet
The Origins Flute Quartet will present a program on Monday, October 27 at the University of Louisiana at Monroe Biedenharn Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m.
The quartet is comprised of Sandra Lunte, Professor of Flute at ULM since 1995, and three of her beloved former students. The flutists are Sarah Owens (BA 2022), John Rea (BM 2011), and Mallory Sanchez (BM 2012).
The Origins Flute Quartet will perform contrasting works, all written in the 21st century. These works require the flutists to play traditional “C” flutes as well as piccolo, alto flutes, and bass flutes.
All members of the quartet enjoy a long personal history with each other and hope to convey their connection through their music.
