Downtown Gallery Crawl Celebrates 10 Years

The Downtown Gallery Crawl will showcase local art on August 3

The Downtown Gallery Crawl will celebrate 10 years this Thursday night in Monroe and West Monroe.  The crawl features art, music, food and fun. 

The event will happen at nine downtown art galleries that will host special exhibitions from local artist.  The crawl runs from 5-9 p.m. and will happen rain or shine. Original art will be for sale and many artist will be on hand to answer questions about their work. 

Special music will be provided by Alan Brockman and the North Delta Ramble. Monty Russell will be playing downtown near the Palace Gallery on DeSiard.  A special farm to table dining opportunity will feature BBQ plates for sale by Chef Galen Iverstine.

The public is invited to tour the galleries and enjoy the family friendly atmosphere .

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
