Prizes:
Drawing 1: "Dinner In" package from Fiesta on Eighteenth, including one (1) cast iron dutch oven, one (1) copy of The Lost Kitchen: Recipes and a Good Life Found in Freedom, Maine cookbook by Erin French, and a set of two (2) trivets; to be drawn from entries from May 19, 2026 at 12 a.m. to Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 11 a.m.
Drawing 2: "Dinner Out" package of four (4) gift cards to area restaurants, including one (1) gift card to Heirloom restaurant at The Hotel Monroe valued at $100.00, one (1) gift card to the Warehouse No. 1 restaurant valued at $100.00, one (1) gift card to Monroe's restaurant valued at $100.00, and one (1) gift card to Apero restaurant; to be drawn from entries from May 19, 2026 at 12 a.m. to Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 11 a.m.
Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are not transferable. All taxes on the prize, including but not limited to federal, state and local income and sales taxes, and any expense not covered herein (including but not limited to expenses related to the use of the prize) are the responsibility of the winner. KEDM may substitute another prize of equal value in the event of non-availability of a prize.
How to Enter:
Entry is automatic with online, telephone or mailed contributions during the promotional period. All sustaining members of KEDM are entered if they make a monthly payment during the entry period. The number to call is 318-342-5575 or entrants may give online at KEDM.org. To enter without making a contribution, entrants may call and submit their name, address, daytime telephone number and email address, or by mail by sending a 3" x 5" index card with the same to KEDM Public Radio, 700 University Avenue, Monroe, LA 71209. Multiple entries, if discovered, will be disqualified.
How to Win:
No contribution to KEDM is necessary. The promotion period for all drawings is retroactive to entries received beginning May 20, 2026 and covers all entries beginning at 12 a.m. CDT on May 20, 2026. The promotion for Drawing 1 and Drawing 2 ends on Thursday, June 18 at 11 a.m. CDT. Only entries received during the promotional periods for each drawing are eligible.
Entries are limited to one per person, address, or household regardless of the method of entry. No responsibility is assumed by KEDM or the University of Louisiana at Monroe for lost, late, damaged or incomplete entries or for any human error or any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become the property of KEDM and will not be returned. Proof of emailing and/or mailing does not constitute proof of delivery. Anyone can request a mailed copy of the contest rules by email at kedmgm [at] ulm.edu.
Eligibility:
Employees of KEDM Public Radio at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household are not eligible to win. KEDM volunteers may enter if they are not included in the above-named categories. Entrants must be 18 years or older to enter. Participation is restricted to persons living in the United States. A person may only win one KEDM drawing prize per 30 days.
Selection and Notification of Winner:
Winners for Drawing 1 and Drawing 2 will be randomly drawn by a station employee by Friday, June 26, 2026 from among all the eligible entries received at the time of each drawing. The winners will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail within 24 hours of drawing. Every reasonable attempt will be made to award the prize. If after every reasonable effort has been exerted (three (3) attempts over ten (10) business days) to award the prize but the potential winner cannot be reached after ten (10) days from first notification attempt, or the potential winner has refused to accept the prize, or if entrant is found to be ineligible, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner awarded. KEDM will not notify winners of the time remaining on a prize. It is the responsibility of the winner to claim the prize within the ten (10) business day time frame. All unclaimed prizes after ten (10) business days will automatically be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be chosen. KEDM reserves the right to follow this timeline and shall make every effort to award the prizes within six (6) months of the conclusion of the entry period.
General Conditions
Participants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decision of KEDM Station Management, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this promotion. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless KEDM, the University of Louisiana at Monroe, their officers, directors, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this promotion or use of any prize won. KEDM makes no and disclaims all warranties, guarantees or representations, express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, or merchantability of any prize. KEDM reserves the right to cancel this contest and not award any prize in the event that in its judgment that developments warrant cancellation. Participants also agree to grant KEDM the exclusive right to use participant's entry, name, character, image or other likeness in perpetuity without further compensation for advertising, fundraising or promotional purposes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Upon pick-up of prize, proper photo identification (valid driver’s license, government-issued photo ID, or passport) from the winner is required. Prizes for Drawing 1 must be picked up at Fiesta on Eighteenth, 1211 North 18th Street, Monroe, Louisiana, 71201 during normal operating hours. Drawing 2 must be picked up at the KEDM studios located at Sandel Hall 319 at the University of Louisiana Monroe, 700 University Avenue, Monroe, LA 71209, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday (except holidays). Under unique circumstances, a representative designated by the winner will be allowed to accept some prizes. Written authorization from the winner, including the representative’s name, ID and a photocopy of the winner’s valid photo identification is required.
For the name of the prize winners, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope before July 10, 2026 to KEDM Drive Drawing Winners, Sandel Hall 319, 700 University Ave, Monroe, LA 71209. Winner's name will not be available until after June 26, 2026.
