Louisiana recognize the Class of 2026 with America 250 seal on high school diplomas

Baton Rouge, La. — Governor Jeff Landry and state superintendent of education Dr. Cade Brumley announced that all Louisiana public high school graduates in the class of 2026 will receive diplomas featuring a commemorative America 250 seal marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Governor Landry said the seal reminds students of their role in preserving American freedoms. Dr. Brumley noted that the class of 2026 graduates during a historic year, and the seal reflects Louisiana’s commitment to strong civics education.

The initiative supports statewide civics efforts, including the Freedom Framework social studies standards, the Freedom Framework diploma endorsement, and the annual Celebrate Freedom Week.
