Louisiana Trash Crew Finds Decomposed Body Under Bridge

Louisiana authorities say a crew picking up trash along an interstate highway has found a badly decomposed body under a bridge.

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office said in a news release Wednesday that there were no immediate signs of foul play. The remains have been turned over to the coroner's office for identification.

The statement says the Department of Transportation and Development crew found the remains Tuesday morning along Interstate 10 near Slidell. Slidell is about 28 miles (45 kilometers) north-northeast from New Orleans, across Lake Pontchartrain.
