Josh Hyde performs free concert on July 29 for Ouachita Live

Downtown West Monroe returns with another free, outdoor concert. Ouachita Live began in March and will continue through October. Each concert will be on the last Friday of the month.

July's concert will feature Josh Hyde and the Lost Parish, based on the New Orleans-style bayou and blues funk. Josh began his career writing blues at the young age of 10. Sonny Landreth calls the musician "funky, atmospheric, and soulful."

Adrienne LaFrance-Wells said, "A lot of local musicians here are familiar with Josh Hyde and his work and are very excited that he will be performing in downtown."

The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. at Alley Park.

The open container has been lifted in the downtown district. Therefore, various restaurants in the downtown area will provide alcohol for guests to purchase. There will also be food trucks and snowball trucks available.

People are asked not to smoke or bring glass into the park.

Attendants are encouraged to bring a chair to enjoy the show.

More information is available at Downtown West Monroe.
