A UNO poll finds 57-percent of registered Louisiana voters surveyed believe protesting NFL players should be fined or fired, but there is a big difference of opinion among races. Researcher Tony Licciardi says most of the black responders oppose penalizing the protesting players.
Licciardi says the survey also found 49-percent approve of President Donald Trump’s job performance, while 45-percent disapprove. He says there are significant differences in opinion on approval along racial lines.
Licciardi says President Trump’s approval rating in Louisiana is down from 58-percent on his Election Day victory. He says it is not a surprise that there was such a big racial divide to these answers.
