Co-hosted by the Nevada County Depot and Museum, the event offers a rare chance to step directly into the world of trappers, traders, and early settlers.
Rendezvous gatherings were once essential trade meetings where fur companies and independent trappers exchanged beaver and otter pelts—and just as importantly, shared stories, games, and long‑awaited camaraderie. Today’s Southwestern Regional Rendezvous continues that tradition, rotating annually among its member states to honor this vibrant chapter of American history.
