Prescott, Arkansas —The 42nd Annual Southwestern Regional Rendezvous concludes its week‑long celebration of Early American life with a full day of living‑history experiences on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the historic Prairie D’Ane Battlefield in Prescott, Arkansas. For more information on this or upcoming events, call 870-887-5821, email TheDepotMuseum@gmail.com, find us on Facebook, or visit TheDepotMuseum.org/Events.

Visitors can explore authentic mountain‑man encampments, watch historic craft and skill demonstrations, browse period traders, and enjoy frontier‑style food as reenactors bring the 1800–1840 fur‑trade era to life. Co-hosted by the Nevada County Depot and Museum, the event offers a rare chance to step directly into the world of trappers, traders, and early settlers.

Rendezvous gatherings were once essential trade meetings where fur companies and independent trappers exchanged beaver and otter pelts—and just as importantly, shared stories, games, and long‑awaited camaraderie. Today’s Southwestern Regional Rendezvous continues that tradition, rotating annually among its member states to honor this vibrant chapter of American history.

Prairie D’Ane Battlefield is located at 2243 Highway 19 North in historic Prescott, Arkansas. Admission is $5 for adults; children 12 and under attend free. Parking is free, and food vendors and period merchandise will be available on site. For more information, call 870-887-5821, email TheDepotMuseum@gmail.com, or visit the Nevada County Depot Museum’s Facebook page.
