The City of Monroe’s Planning and Urban Development Department (PUD) will host two events on Thursday, March 26, 2026, to share opportunities available through the 2026 Annual Action Plan.
The Annual Action Plan guides how federal funds support housing, community development and other local priorities.
A proposal workshop for nonprofit organizations will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the City of Monroe Public Safety Center, located at 801 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Monroe.
The workshop will explain how to apply for federal funding, review funding priorities, eligible activities, application requirements and timelines. 501(c)(3) nonprofits interested in applying must attend this workshop.
At 5:30 p.m., the public is invited to a hearing at the Public Safety Center to provide feedback and share thoughts on the plan.
The Annual Action Plan outlines how federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
and HOME Investment Partnership funds will be used to address community needs identified in the five-year Consolidated Plan for Fiscal Year 2026.
Persons requiring special accommodations should contact Ellen Hill, PUD Director, at (318)-329-2256. The City of Monroe is committed to an inclusive and transparent planning process.
