BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Division of the Arts (LDOA) is now accepting applications for the Fiscal Year 2027 General Operating Support (GOS) Grant Program. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 3, 2026, at 4 p.m. CT.

The GOS program provides critical funding to nonprofit 501(c)(3) arts organizations that are making a meaningful impact in communities across Louisiana. The program is designed to strengthen and sustain arts organizations of all sizes while fostering a strong, statewide network of creative partners.

“Louisiana’s arts community is at the heart of our culture and economy,” said Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. “Through the General Operating Support program, we are investing directly in the organizations that preserve our traditions, inspire creativity, and enrich the quality of life in every corner of our state. I encourage eligible organizations to apply and take advantage of this important opportunity.”

Applicants compete for funding within tiers determined by their annual operating budgets:

  • Institution Tier – Annual operating budget greater than $1 million; maximum award of $15,000
  • Advancement Tier – Annual operating budget between $250,000 and $1 million; maximum award of $10,000
  • Entry Tier – Annual operating budget between $30,000 and $249,000; maximum award of $5,000
  • Development Tier – First-time applicants with an annual operating budget of $50,000 or less; maximum award of $5,000

GOS funding supports general operating expenses, including administrative salaries and benefits, payroll expenses, insurance, facility rental, utilities, and contracted or professional services.

Eligible organizations must have a mission statement that includes the creation, presentation, or preservation of one or more recognized artistic disciplines, including culinary arts, visual arts, theater, dance, music, folklife, literature, media, and design arts.

Complete grant guidelines and application instructions are available on the grants page of the Louisiana Division of the Arts website.
