Monroe Police and Fire rescue units responded to a vehicle accident at 5:04 p.m. on Sunday at Pecanland Mall, 4700 Millhaven Road in Monroe.
A truck hit a 9-year-old boy in the parking lot and continued, impacting the building at Vision Works. The child was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver's name has not been released.
