Dense fog advisory extended through 11 a.m.

NWS / NOAA

A Dense Fog Advisory is currently in effect until 9 AM CST this morning for portions of south-central and southwest Arkansas, north-central and northwest Louisiana, southeast Oklahoma, and east and northeast Texas.

Visibility in these areas is expected to be reduced to one-quarter mile or less due to dense fog. This could lead to hazardous driving conditions, so it is important to take precautions if you are traveling. Drivers are advised to slow down, use their headlights, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.

Areas included in this advisory encompass numerous cities such as Shreveport, Texarkana, Monroe, Nacogdoches, Marshall, El Dorado, Hope, and many others across the affected regions. Please exercise caution and allow extra time for your commute this morning.
